Oft-decried and much-hated (by the political "Left" at least) Bush policies are alive and well under a "Left"-directed Congress and white house, it seems. Socialists hated the neocon doctrine of preemptive war under the former administration - but don't seem to mind it under the current one, just as long as it is aimed at the illusory political opposition.

Here is the excerpt from a recent Department of Homeland Security-issued bulletin entitled "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment" that warns government agents of Americans who value the same thing these agents swore an oath to uphold: The Constitution of the United States.

Here is the 'preamble' of that DHS Bulletin:

"Extremism and Radicalization Branch to facilitate a greater understanding of the phenomenon of violent radicalization in the United States. The information is
provided to federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement
officials so they may effectively deter, prevent, preempt, or respond to terrorist attacks against the United States."

As widely predicted, Obama, who in the end is responsible for this, is not above using the precise tyrannical powers claimed and usurped by the Bush administration when it is in his masters' best interest. (A note to Neocons: This is why the Patriot Act was a bad idea. Get it?!)

The language ("violent radicalization) stems from a bill (Democrat Jane Harman's H.R. 1955 entitled the "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007") that passed the Democrat Congress in 2007 but never went further. This means of course that it is not (yet) law - but that obviously doesn't deter Obama who apparently agrees with the premise, since DHS is under his direct command.

This is proof that "Left" and "Right" are meaningless distinctions without a difference - and that every single Congressional Incumbent who voted/votes for laws like these must be fired ASAP!

It is your responsibility to do whatever you can to accomplish that. You can help to do that by passing this on and getting your friends to subscribe to this blog feed.
